10 New Vehicles Coming To Chrysler Dealers In 2024 And 2025
May 23 2024, Centennial Chrysler
It's an exciting time to be a Stellantis dealer with the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram brands. The automaker's commitment to upgrading existing products, overhauling and re-engineering vehicles, and introducing brand new trucks, cars, and SUVs.
We're nearly halfway into 2024, which means we're rapidly approaching the arrival of brand new versions of Stellantis's best-selling vehicle, the Ram 1500. But beyond the 2025 Ram pickup's launch, what else is on its way from Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram? We have information on 10 confirmed updates to the lineup.
2025 RAM 1500
The new generation of Ram pickups is landing as we speak, and perhaps the biggest piece of news is the twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six producing significantly more horsepower and torque than the outgoing Hemi. The first step on the Hurricane ladder is a 420-horsepower/469 lb-ft configuration. But there's more on tap.
The inline-six configuration plays a big role in the history of working Rams. For generations, Ram Heavy Duty trucks have typically been equipped with legendary diesel engines by Cummins – the inline-six in the 2024 Ram 3500 churns out 1075 lb-ft of torque.
2025 RAM 1500 REV
The first fully-electric Ram pickup will be offered with two optional battery sizes, both of which crank out enormous power. The 168-kWh battery is rated at 654 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque and will be rated to tow up to 14,000 pounds – that Ram 1500 REV is likely to be rated at 560 kilometres of range.
There'll also be a 229-kWh battery with potential range approaching 800 kilometres. The Ram REV is every inch a Ram, but the absence of a conventional engine does open up an array of possibilities for unique cargo-carrying options, including a 425-litre frunk with an optional 3.6 kW power panel.
Level 3 charging should add up to 177 kilometres of range in only 10 minutes. We expect Ram 1500 REV availability to begin in the fall of 2024.
2025 RAM 1500 RAMCHARGER REx
Ramcharger is an iconic name in the history of rugged trucks, but this is a different kettle of fish altogether. The Ramcharger produces 663 horsepower courtesy of a conventional internal combustion engine (the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6), an electric motor on the front axle, and an electric motor on the rear axle. There's also a 92-kWh battery that greatly extends the truck's range – it's estimated the Ramcharger will have electric-only range of of 233 kilometres.
Like an EV, you can plug in to charge the battery. But you don't have to. The Ramcharger can operate as a conventional hybrid. This means that the range concerns associated while towing evaporate. And on that note, it's worth mentioning that the Ram 1500 Ramcharger will be rated to tow up to 14,000 pounds.
We expect to see the Ramcharger in early 2025.
2025 RAM 1500 RHO
The RHO isn't the only new variant in the Ram 1500 lineup – there's also a new high-lux Tungsten trim level that starts above the Laramie, Limited, and Longhorn. (The Tungsten included 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio, 20-way power front seats and 4-way power-adjustable headrests, massaging seats, heated/cooled seats in both rows, just to start.)
As for the RHO, however, this is the extreme off-road centre of the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup. There are 35-inch tires with beadlock-ready 18-inch wheels, Bilstein dampers nine different drive modes (mud/sand, rock, Baja, valet, auto, tow, snow, sport, custom), launch control, 11.8 inches of ground clearance, 13 inches of front suspension travel and 14 in the rear. Approach/breakover/departure angles measure in at 31, 22, and 25 degrees, and the RHO can ford up to 32 inches of water. Oh, and there's a 540-horsepower version of the Hurricane inline-six. Expect to hit 100 kmh in 4.6 seconds.
The Ram 1500 RHO is expected in the third-quarter of 2024.
JEEP GLADIATOR 4xe
Jeep is a major player in North America's plug-in hybrid electric vehicle sector. In fact, the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe are America's two best-selling PHEVs. In Canada, 19 percent of the Wranglers sold in Canada in Canada in 2023 were 4xe models; 84 percent of two-row Grand Cherokees were 4xe PHEVs. Yet the Gladiator, Jeep's Wrangler pickup spinoff, has been on the market since 2019 without a 4xe option.
That's about to change, as the Gladiator is likely to receive the Wrangler's 375-horsepower hybrid combo that provides between 30-40 kilometres of pure electric range. We suspect the Gladiator 4xe goes on sale in 2025.
JEEP GRAND WAGONEER 4xe
Whether Jeep's biggest SUV inherits the same plug-in hybrid system from the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee or utilizes a combination more like the 2025 Ramcharger REx, we're led to believe that the Grand Wagoneer 4xe is likely to combine electric and gas power for total driving range of 800 kilometres. We expect to see the Grand Wagoneer 4xe in 2025.
DODGE CHARGER DAYTONA
The next generation of Dodge Charger is splitting off into multiple directions. Two doors, or four. Electric kilowatts, or twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six horsepower. The Charger Daytona is a pure electric with either 496 horsepower (as the Daytona R/T) or 670 horsepower (in the Daytona Scat Pack.) The more powerful version is expected to offer range of up to 418 kilometres; the Daytona R/T should be rated in excess of 500 kilometres.
Dodge says the two-door Charger Daytona should arrive in late 2024; four-door versions should be a few months behind in early 2025.
DODGE CHARGER SIXPACK
With a four-door Charger producing 420 horsepower or a two-door model generating 550 horsepower, the SIXPACK version of the next-generation Dodge Charger aren't exactly wanting for performance. This is the true continuation of muscle car dominance. And don't forget, the new Chargers are built right here in Canada at Stellantis's factory in Windsor, Ontario.
Expect the SIXPACK models to arrive in mid-2025.
JEEP WAGONEER S
Don't let the name confuse you. The Wagoneer S isn't just a sporty, blacked-out trim of the regular Wagoneer. This is where electricity takes the main stage at Jeep. The Wagoneer S is a distinct, fully-electric Jeep with over 600 horsepower, a 0-100kmh time of 3.4 seconds, and 480 kilometres of range. There's another factor to consider: this isn't a powertrain swap inside a conventional Wagoneer. This is new from the ground up, an electric SUV riding on the STLA platform.
First deliveries of the Wagoneer S are expected in late 2024 or early 2025.
JEEP RECON
Jeep is the home of the original off-road, 4x4, go-anywhere utility vehicles. And while the company draws on the heritage of the 1941 Willys MB, Jeep isn't stuck in the past. The Recon, which is inspired by the original Wranglers, is a fully electric SUV with removable doors and a folding roof.
There's a lot we don't yet know about the Recon – including power, price, and dimensions – but we do know Jeep hopes to have the Recon on sale by the end of 2024.
